Electrical Installation

IWE undertakes a wide variety of electrical installation and contracting work, including the installation of highly sophisticated distribution networks. We have vast experience in all areas ranging from places of entertainment, sports arenas, highrise developments, schools, public buildings and industrial units.

It is a leading supplier of electrical installation services on local authority housing projects, including Erimus Housing. IWE will also undertake associated work, such as the installation of suspended ceilings to accommodate lighting and fire detection devices

Fire Alarms & Security Systems

The supply and installation of smoke and heat detection systems, and associated maintenance services, are a specialist area for IWE. We are proud to say we have earned a reputation for the quality and reliability of our work, most notably in fire alarm installations for high-rise properties in the Tees Valley area.

All our staff are trained in fire and security equipment and are familiar with all leading brands of alarm systems. We also ensure our electricians are kept fully up to date with relevant fire safety regulations governing their installation and use BS5839.

Inspection & Testing

Every electrical installation is required by law to be regularly and independently inspected and tested. IWE is recognised by NICEIC and is qualified to City and Guilds 2391 Inspection, Testing and Certification of electrical systems.

Prior to carrying out any work, we will provide unbiased guidance on any changes that may be required to ensure you stay within the law and you or your business kept safe. Testing of fire alarms and emergency lighting ensure your business remains compliant with the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations.

Emerency Lighting

When the power supply to normal lighting fails during a fire or other emergency, the availability of self-contained and well-positioned emergency lighting can be the difference between life and death.

IWE has considerable experience of installing emergency lighting in a range of domestic, commercial and industrial premises in accordance with The Emergency Lighting British Standard BS5266. We can supply and install a wide range of standard and decorative emergency lighting units.
